Concón (Chile), 10/03/2025, Santa María Goretti Parish School.- Santa María Goretti Parish School in Concón officially began its 2025 academic year on Monday, March 3rd, with the arrival of teachers and educational assistants. The opening day was marked by a time of formation and reflection on the charism of the Congregation that inspires the school’s educational mission. It was also an opportunity to delve into the meaning of the Jubilee of Hope that the Church celebrates this year, encouraging the entire educational community to live this time as a moment of encounter, spiritual renewal, and solidarity.

On Wednesday, March 5th, students returned to school with joy and enthusiasm, eager to reunite with their classmates and teachers. The day began with a heartfelt welcoming ceremony that included a communal prayer, words of encouragement and motivation from the school principal, and the official presentation of the religious sisters accompanying the school, along with the homeroom teachers who will journey with each class throughout the year.

During the first days of classes, several activities took place to mark the beginning of the school year and to strengthen the bonds among students, teachers, and families. A highlight was the commemoration of International Women’s Day, which served as a moment of reflection and recognition of the essential role women play in society and in the educational community. A warm welcome was also extended to new students, who were received with care and support to help them integrate smoothly.

One of the most significant moments was the traditional blessing of the senior students’ sweatshirts and school badges, symbols of the closing of their school years and their commitment to the values promoted by the institution. This gesture, full of emotion and hope, marks the beginning of their final year and invites them to live it with responsibility, gratitude, and joy.

In this way, Santa María Goretti Parish School begins a new academic year with a strong commitment to continue forming individuals of integrity, dedicated to the common good and capable of contributing positively to society.
