Romania: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: Our Journey through the Grace of God and Marie Poussepin

Romania, 02/13/2026, Raluca Maria Fichiduț.- Christian life is not merely a succession of days, but a continuous dialogue with the Creator. As we observe the calendar of our lives, we realize that each stage—past, present, and future—is wrapped in God’s paternal care and in the heritage left to us by our Foundress Mother, Marie Poussepin, 330 years ago

Yesterday: A one-year promise
Maria Petrișor and Raluca Maria Fichiduț, two lay women, took the courageous step of officially entering the Order by making their promise for a period of one year. This gesture represents a time of deepening and intense living of the Dominican charism, a stage in which they commit themselves to being “Light of the World” in their daily activities.

Definitive commitment
Gabriela Ghercă and Lucian Dămătăr marked the culminating moment by professing their definitive vows. Through this lifelong commitment, they united themselves spiritually with the mission of the Sisters of the Presentation, choosing to serve truth and charity until the end of their days, becoming pillars of prayer and action for the community.

Gratitude and grace
The entire celebration was a prayer of thanksgiving, for God “created us and sustains us each day.” We felt how the awaited graces were poured out upon these four souls, giving them the strength needed to become authentic witnesses of the Gospel.

01/25/2026: A meaningful afternoon for youth

Today our community experienced a moment of special beauty, dedicated to the future and to hope. In a world that moves so quickly, we chose to pause and offer precious time to five young people who are living through the beautiful yet challenging stage of adolescence.

Key moments of the gathering
The afternoon began under the gentle gaze of Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament. Together with the five young girls and with the valuable support of two lay collaborators, we created a space of serenity. We prayed for their journey in life, that God’s grace might illuminate their decisions and that their hearts might always remain open to goodness. It was a true moment of “spiritual renewal,” in which we gave thanks for the gift of life.

Because adolescence is also energy and joy, we continued with a time of play. “Who misses the penalty…?” was both moving and fun. These activities, prepared with the help of our lay collaborators, were not only recreational but also an opportunity to strengthen friendship, learn to work together, and discover that Christian joy is alive and beautiful.

The day ended simply around the table, sharing dinner together. The meal became an extension of the altar: a space for close dialogue and sincere exchange. This sharing sealed the certainty that we belong to a united family, where each person is heard and valued.

This afternoon was a clear example that accompanying young people requires love, patience, and presence. We thank the two lay collaborators who supported this day and pray that the graces received today may accompany these young people throughout their journey, as we have planned to meet again once a week. We wish them a week filled with blessings until our next encounter.
