Mexico, 02/14/2026, Sr. Silvia Cristina León Salazar.- Within the framework of the Easter of our Foundress Mother, Marie Poussepin, several communities of the Province of Our Lady of the Americas experienced a day of deep spirituality marked by the renewal of the baptismal promises of the Dominican Laity of the Presentation
In the communities of Mexico and El Salvador, mission collaborators, family members of the sisters, and people close to the communities gathered together. The festive and prayerful atmosphere became a living testimony of adherence to the charism of the Presentation, reaffirming the commitment of the laity to Dominican spirituality.
Prior to the celebration, each lay community organized a spiritual retreat that enabled participants to become aware of the importance of living rooted in contemplation and prayer, following the example of Marie Poussepin. This time of preparation strengthened the communal experience and gave deeper meaning to the renewal of promises, turning the day into a true encounter of faith and fraternity.
The Easter of Marie Poussepin, celebrated each January 24, thus stands out as a key moment to renew the mission and keep alive the spiritual heritage of our foundress, inspiring communities to continue their journey in fidelity and hope.
