Rome (Italy), 10/13/2025, Sr. Patricia Gabriela Avendaño Álvarez.- From October 8 to 12, the provincial prioresses with the general government had the grace of participating in Rome, cradle of civilization and of the Christian faith, in the Jubilee of Consecrated Life—a deeply spiritual experience that allowed us to live the unity of the Spirit in the diversity of charisms, languages, and cultures.
During these days, we truly felt like pilgrims of hope, sharing with brothers and sisters from all over the world a living faith expressed in community, prayer, and service.
We took part in various events organized for this celebration: prayer vigils, spaces for dialogue and reflection on hope, as well as cultural and artistic activities that enriched our experience. Without a doubt, the most meaningful moment was the encounter with the Holy Father Leo XIV, both in the Eucharist he presided over and the audience held in the Paul VI Hall.
In his words, the Pope firmly reminded us that the Church needs consecrated life to continue awakening the world through the witness of our commitment. He exhorted us to keep our lives centered on Christ and to discover his humble and silent presence in our daily lives, especially in the most difficult moments.
In these times of so much violence, war, and destruction, we were called to be bearers of hope and builders of peace. These are not abstract words: when we live in communion with the Lord and decide to go out and meet others, hope and peace become a reality.
We sincerely thank Sr. Mariamma Paul, Prioress General, and her Council for making these days of communion, renewal, and mission possible.
May Marie Poussepin continue to guide their steps on the path of service and fraternity.
