Bucaramanga (Colombia), 06/16/2017, Sr. Luz Karime Mancipe Laguado.- This year the Faculty of Health Care in the “Universidad Industrial de Santander, UIS”, based in Bucaramanga, completed 50 years offering formation in science, ethics and humanism. A beautiful and moving historical survey of this Faculty of Health Care was the prelude for the posthumous recognition of a renowned daughter of Marie Poussepin, which took place on June 14, in Louis A. Calvo auditorium of this great educational center.
Lima (Peru), 07/01/2017, Sr. Ofelia Quispe Huallpara, Provincial Superior of Los Andes.- Saint Rose of Lima continues walking paths of faith. As we are celebrating 400 years of Saint Rose of Lima’s death, her relics travel across different places of Peru as an example of a DOMINICAN LAY WOMAN.
Lima (Peru), 29/06/2017, Srs. of the Province of Los Andes.- On June 28th night Fr. Juan José Salaverry OP, Prior of the Province of Saint John the Baptist in Peru, brought the relics of Saint Rose of Lima to our Provincial house in Lima.

Bogotá (Colombia), 06/25/2017,News Editor.- We thank the Lord for the First Profession of Liliana María Huertas Robayo, in our Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Charity of the Presentation of Our Lady. The Eucharist celebrated in the Chapel of Casa Central was presided by Monsignor. Raúl Alfonso Carrillo Martínez, Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Gaitán and concelebrated by Fr. Alberto Múnera Dueñas sj and many Dominican Fathers.
Beirut (Lebanon), 05/30/2017, Sr. Henriette-Myriam.- For the first time In the month of May, the Church of Maronite Rite, where we actually are now (since we were before in the Latin Rite): Father Georges, priest of the Mar Takla Parish and a group of parishioners invited us to live the Marian pilgrimage. Sister Bernadette of Lourdes and myself (after twenty years of presence in Lebanon), have lived these beautiful daily celebrations from family to family with the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the morning, the statue arrived in the family where we would go in the evening (the statue would stay there until the next day).
Bucaramanga (Colombia), 06/23/2017, Sr. Luz Karime Mancipe Laguado.- Pope Francis invited us, religious to “wake up the world, to leave the nest which encloses us in order to be sent.... as the most concrete way of imitating the Lord”. With this certitude, from April 19 to May 20, 2017, we experienced as the dawn of our faith and vocation the canonical visit of our Superior General, Sr. Maria Escayola Coris and the General Councilors: Sr. Mariamma Paul Ollukaran, Sr. María Leonor Charria Angulo, Sr. Rosario Amelia Garcés del Castillo, Sr. Diana Gisela Dolorita and Sr. Blanca Aurora Marín Hoyos.
Cochabamba (Bolivia), 07/12/2017, Sr. Socorro García A.- In the casa de retiro Marie Poussepin (Marie Poussepin Retreat House) in Cochabamba-Bolivia the second national meeting of the Laity of the Dominicans of the Presentation in Bolivia took place from June 11 to 12. The delegations from the Departments of La Paz, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba participated in this meeting. With great hopes and expectations we shared the joy of the meeting and admired the beauty of the place.
