Burkina Faso (Africa), Srs. of Africa, 02/17/2020.- This video is a tribute to Marie Poussepin from the sisters of the Vice Province of Africa. In this year of grace for our religious family, in memory of the 25 years of beatification of our Foundress, the sisters wanted to sing for Marie Poussepin whom the Church has elevated to the title of ‘Blessed’ – a recognition of her exemplary life and the gift of her Charism to the Church.

The song is in Moré – one of the national languages of Burkina Faso, enriched with phrases from the principle languages of the Congregation: French, English, Spanish and different languages spoken by our African sisters: – Ivory Coast, Chad, Togo and Congo RDC. We wish to repeat our love for the “Social Apostle of Charity” and our determination to make her known and loved by the whole world, knowing that music surpasses all borders.  Song written by Sr. Nicole Kabore, Dominican Sisters of the Presentation.

The lyrics of the song say:

Blessed are you Mother,
We love you Marie Poussepin, Yes, we love you
You are our Mother, Marie Poussepin,
daughter of Claude and Julienne, we love you.
You heard the voice of God, received His Word and did His Will:
Leaving your home town
taking care of the sick,
helping the widows
Wiping away the tears of the orphans,
Teaching the young
Spent all your fortune to save the poor, Mom.

Blessed are you, zealous warrior
By your zeal you fought against ignorance
Selflessly pushed borders
You became for the orphans the face of a true mother
Through your work, reduced poverty, Apostle of Charity!

The whole world will talk about you.
The heaven knows about you.
The Americans are talking about you
The Europeans talk about Marie Poussepin
The Asians speak of Marie Poussepin
In Oceania, it is Marie Poussepin
The Africans speak of Marie Poussepin.

African sisters greet you, our Mother
Wake up Burkinabe give thanks
Ivoirians salute the Blessed
Come on Cameroonians, say thank you
The daughters of Chad thank you sincerely
Daughters of Togo, thank you
The Congolese say: Blessed are you.

Humble, pious and charitable, thank you. Thank you.

TO MAKE HER KNOWN AND LOVED,

THIS IS OUR MOST ARDENT DESIRE.

LET US PRAY FOR HER CANONIZATION, ACCEPT IT GOD!
